Technicqll Soft Plastic Glue 20ml

Technicqll Soft Plastic Glue is a waterproof polyurethane adhesive for repairing most flexible materials. It bonds flexible PVC, polyurethane, natural and sulfochlorinated rubbers and coated fabrics. The joint stays flexible and withstands water, diluted acids, alkalis, oils, weather and changing temperatures. You can also apply it underwater, and a PVC patch comes in the pack. It does not bond polyethylene, polypropylene or PTFE.

Use it to repair inflatable toys, mattresses, pontoons, raincoats, car tarpaulins, pools and beach accessories, tents and waders.

Directions

• The surfaces must be clean and dry.
• Spread a thin, even layer of adhesive on both surfaces.
• Wait about 5 minutes (at 18 °C) for the solvent to evaporate.
• Press the surfaces together with strong pressure and leave them until the adhesive has fully cured.
• To patch a hole or crack, cut an oval patch from the supplied PVC film that covers the damage with a margin of at least 1 cm, then glue it as above.
• For an underwater repair, wipe algae and dirt off the spot with a cloth, put a thicker layer of adhesive on the patch and press it on at once to drive out air and water. A joint made underwater may show a white bloom.
• The spread adhesive can be heated to at most 80 °C. Do not do this with thin films, which can deform above 70 °C.
• Work above 18 °C.

Safety

Contains acetone and ethyl acetate. Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children, in a well-ventilated place, with the container tightly closed. On skin or hair, take off contaminated clothing at once and rinse the skin with water. If inhaled, move the person to fresh air and keep them comfortable for breathing. In the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if easy to do, and keep rinsing. Dispose of the contents and container according to the waste regulations in force.
