Technicqll Universal contact glue, flexible 20ml

Technicqll Universal Contact Glue is a waterproof, elastic contact adhesive based on polychloroprene, amber in colour. It forms a permanent elastic joint, works indoors and outdoors and suits car parts that are exposed to vibration, such as upholstery. It does not run, so you can use it on vertical surfaces too, and it contains no toluene or cyclohexane.

The glue is meant for local and spot repairs: fitting rubber seals, soundproofing elements and acoustic panels, gluing veneer edge strips to chipboard, protecting wood and plywood from moisture, and bonding car upholstery and upholstery fabrics to various substrates. Do not use it to lay floor coverings.

Suitable materials

• Rubber, leather, felt, cork, wood and metals
• Hard PVC, ABS, melamine and plastic laminates
• Fabrics and textiles, PU foam
• Not for PP, PE, Teflon and polystyrene
• Soft PVC and artificial leather may deform: test on a hidden spot first

How to use

• The surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil and dirt. Sand them lightly, for example with sandpaper.
• Apply the glue to both surfaces with a short-bristle brush or a notched spatula and spread it evenly.
• Wait until the solvents have evaporated and the glue is dry to the touch, about 10 minutes at 18 °C. On porous materials apply two coats.
• Press the parts firmly together. The quality of the bond depends on the pressure, not on the time. You can tap elastic parts with a rubber mallet.
• For larger parts use clamps or presses, with a pressure of at least 0.5 N/mm2.
• Once the parts are pressed together, you can no longer correct their position.
• Clean tools and fresh stains with a solvent such as petrol.
• Work in a well-ventilated room.

Contains a mixture of heptane isomers, ethyl acetate, acetone, butanone, phenolic resin and rosin. Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. No smoking. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection and face protection. IF ON SKIN: wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. Dispose of the contents and container in line with the waste rules in force.
