K2 Plastipox plastic adhesive

K2 Plastipox is a two-component adhesive made particularly for plastic, for bonding and repair jobs in car repair. It bonds plastics, ABS and PVC included, metals, stainless steel included, ceramics, porcelain, glass fibre, glass, leather and wood. It does not bond polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP).

The adhesive fills gaps in the material up to 10 mm thick. The cured bond resists water, gasoline, kerosene and oils and withstands temperatures from -55 °C to +120 °C. The adhesive is milky in colour and comes in a 25 g syringe whose dosing tip dispenses both components.

Directions

• Make sure the surfaces are clean, dry and roughened.
• Squeeze both components out through the dosing tip, mix them at once and apply.
• The bond begins to set after 7 minutes; leave it undisturbed for 15 minutes.
• Cap the syringe after use.

Safety

• The glue is a highly flammable liquid and vapour and causes skin irritation.
• The activator causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
• Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area and wear protective gloves.
• The glue contains methyl methacrylate; the activator contains methyl methacrylate, methacrylic acid, p-toluenesulfonyl chloride and cumyl hydroperoxide.
