Technicqll Leather Adhesive 20ml

Technicqll Leather Adhesive is a one-component, polyurethane-based adhesive for bonding leather and leather-like materials. It makes a pressure-resistant, flexible joint and also bonds different kinds of leather to other materials used in upholstery and the leather trade, such as felt, rubber, coated fabrics and most plastics. The joint is waterproof and withstands weather (snow, rain, UV), changing temperatures and ageing. The adhesive contains no toluene and no cyclohexane.

Use it to glue bags, belts and other leather goods, and to fix a leather patch over torn upholstery on a leather sofa or armchair.

Directions

• The surfaces must be clean, grease-free, roughened with sandpaper and dry.
• Spread a thin, even layer of adhesive on both surfaces.
• Wait about 5 minutes, until the solvent has evaporated and the layer is almost dry. The time depends on how absorbent the material is.
• On very porous materials apply two coats: the second once the first is touch dry.
• Press the surfaces firmly together, fix them and let them dry for 24 hours.
• Use the adhesive above +18 °C.
• Keep the room well ventilated while gluing and while the solvent evaporates.
• Clean tools and fresh stains with a solvent (for example petrol), after checking that the surface tolerates it.

Safety

Contains acetone and ethyl acetate. Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Keep out of reach of children, in a well-ventilated place, with the container tightly closed. On skin or hair, take off contaminated clothing at once and rinse the skin with water. If inhaled, move the person to fresh air and keep them comfortable for breathing. In the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if easy to do, and keep rinsing. Dispose of the contents and container according to the waste regulations in force.
