Technicqll Retainer 6638 high strength 10g

Technicqll Retainer 6638 is a universal high-strength anaerobic adhesive for threads and bearings. With its high adhesion, its strength (breakaway torque 25 Nm) and its high viscosity (2500 mPas), it is made for assembling and securing loosely fitted parts with a gap of 0.2 to 0.5 mm. It permanently locks and seals bearings, gears, pulleys, cylindrical assemblies and threaded parts, and it suits seating bearings, pins and gears.

Once cured, it forms a strong sealing adhesive layer that withstands chemicals, dynamic loads and vibration. It prevents corrosion and spreads stress over the whole joint surface. The adhesive bonds to smooth and polished surfaces and suits brass, copper, magnesium, iron, steel, nickel and aluminium. You can also use it in permanent threaded joints, up to and including M35. To take the joint apart, use pneumatic tools or heat the part.

Use it to secure loosely fitted parts in industrial automation, machinery and bolted structures, gears, pulleys and sprockets, loose bearings and bushings in electric motors, generators, combustion engines and gearboxes, and keys on motor shafts and gears.

An anaerobic adhesive cures when air is shut out and at least one of the surfaces is metal, because the metal acts as the catalyst.

Directions

• Apply the adhesive to the surface or joint and let it cure.
• Never dip a metal part into the adhesive bottle.
