Autotools Hammer-on steel rim balance weight STD-S 5g coated 100 pcs

Autotools STD-S 5g is a zinc STD-type balance weight that you hammer onto the flange of a steel rim. Use it to balance passenger car, SUV and van wheels with steel rims; it fits almost all steel rims of vehicles up to 3.5 t. A spring clip holds the weight on the rim, and a grey powder paint coating protects it against corrosion.

Fitting

• Remove the old hammer-on weights first.
• Use a suitable tool for removal and fitting so you do not damage the rim.
• Choose the weight by the balancer's reading.
• Hold the weight next to the rim flange to check that the flange shape matches.
• Before striking, make sure the spring clip touches the rim flange.
• Strike the spring clip twice with a suitable tool. More strikes can damage the weight's protective coating.
• Check the seating: grip the weight with two fingers and try to move it.
