Autotools Hammer-on alloy rim balance weight ALU-S 20g coated, pack 100

Autotools ALU-S 20g is a zinc ALU-S hammer-on balance weight that you strike onto the flange of an alloy rim. Use it to balance the alloy wheels of passenger cars, SUVs and vans, on vehicles up to 3.5 t. A spring clip holds the weight on the rim, and you fit it with dedicated wheel weight pliers. The grey polymer coating is a powder paint that protects against corrosion.

The zinc weights meet Directive 2005/673/WE and replace lead hammer-on weights. For professional use only.

Fitting

• Remove the old hammer-on weights from the rim.
• Choose the weight by the balancer's reading.
• Hold the weight next to the rim flange to check the flange shape.
• Make sure the spring clip touches the rim flange.
• Strike the spring clip twice with a suitable tool: more strikes can damage the weight's protective coating.
• Check the seating by trying to move the weight with two fingers.
• Use a suitable tool for removal and fitting so that you do not damage the rim.
