Liqui Moly Air Flow Sensor Cleaner is a special active solvent for cleaning the sensitive parts of the mass air flow sensor on petrol and diesel engines. It removes dirt from the sensor's hot wire or hot plate and evaporates very quickly without leaving any residue.

A dirty hot wire or hot plate gives wrong readings for the fuel and air mixture. The engine then starts and idles poorly, loses power and uses more fuel, and on cars with an automatic transmission dirty sensors can also cause shifting problems. Cleaning the sensor usually saves you from having to replace it.

Use

Disconnect the electrical connector of the mass air flow sensor and remove the sensor. Spray generously onto the dirty parts, such as the hot wire or hot plate, and let the dirt drip off. Do not touch the sensitive parts of the sensor. Let the solvent dry completely before you refit the sensor. Liqui Moly recommends using it at every air filter change or when problems appear. Before use on solvent-sensitive plastics, especially mechanically loaded parts, test their tolerance first.
