Technicqll fiberglass mat 22cm x 62cm

Technicqll Fiberglass Mat is a white fiberglass mat for the inner, structural reinforcement of epoxy resins and epoxy adhesives. It is made of special glass yarn bonded with a powder binder and has a density of 150 g/m2. The mat limits deformation of the repaired area at elevated temperatures.

Use it to make epoxy glass-fibre laminates with epoxy resin and to repair damaged laminate on boats, caravans, kayaks, bathtubs, shower trays, garden figures and sculptures, as well as on household appliances.

Use

• Cut the mat with scissors to a size and shape that covers the area you are repairing or reinforcing with a margin of at least 2 cm. Wear gloves when cutting to keep fibre particles off your hands.
• Brush a thin layer of epoxy resin onto the prepared or reinforced part.
• Lay the mat on it and press it down until it is soaked through with resin.
• Apply another layer of epoxy resin, smooth the surface and collect the excess resin.
• Let it dry.
• For wider repairs, lay mats side by side with an overlap of 2-5 cm.
• For more reinforcement, use several layers of mat and saturate each layer well with resin.
