Description
An 18-piece cooling system leak tester kit that helps you find internal and external leaks in the cooling system. KB Global describes it as a cooling system leakage test and filling tool, so you can also use it when filling the system.
The maker's instructions give 10-15 psi as the pressure to pump to and warn against going up to 35 psi. During the check the pressure is raised to 15-20 psi while you watch the gauge: if the reading falls, the system has a leak.
Open the radiator cap only when the system has cooled down. If it is hot, wait, or cover the cap with a cool towel before you open it.
