Pro-Tec Combustion chamber cleaner Carbon X K1 + K2, 2 x 500 ml

Pro-Tec Carbon X is a two-component combustion chamber cleaner for petrol and diesel engines. Component K1, the cleaning foam, removes carbon residues in the cylinder head area: on the valves, the piston crown, the piston top land and around the first piston ring. With the valves open it also cleans the intake and exhaust valve seats. It removes residues from the EGR valve, the turbocharger and the air intake system as well. Carbon X does not attack seals and is compatible with all engine components.

Component K2, the neutralizer, liquefies the K1 foam and binds the dissolved dirt. K2 contains extreme pressure (EP) lubrication additives. You remove the emulsion with the Carbon X Extractor (part no. 34142) and can check the result with the endoscope camera (part no. 34141).

How to use

• K1: spray until foam comes out of the access port, for no more than 5 seconds per combustion chamber, and let it react for about 15-20 minutes.
• K2: spray generously and let it react for about 4-5 minutes. Repeat on heavy soiling.
• After cleaning, turn the engine over empty on the starter 2-3 times for about 10 seconds before you refit the spark plug or injector.
• The EGR valve, turbocharger and intake manifold can be treated fitted or removed. A test run of at least 20 minutes is needed afterwards.
• 500 ml covers 4-8 cylinders, depending on cylinder capacity, or 2-4 EGR valves, turbochargers or intake systems.

Carbon X is a professional application that requires professional knowledge. The maker recommends working on dismantled parts, and the throttle valve must be open when you clean the intake tract. For additional cleaning of the air intake, the maker recommends Triple X Plus (P2241).
