Moje Auto Detailer wax applicator

The Moje Auto Detailer wax applicator is a sponge for applying wax and other care products to your car by hand. Moisten it lightly before use, and wash it with soap and warm water afterwards.

You need

• Moje Auto Detailer wax applicator
• a wax
• a microfibre cloth for polishing
• to wash the car first: a car body shampoo, a car wash mitt and a microfibre cloth for drying

How to use

• Wax only clean, dry paint, in the shade and never on a hot surface. Wash the car carefully beforehand, preferably by hand; cleaning the paint with a clay bar also helps.
• Dip the sponge in clean water and wring it out very thoroughly, two or three times. It should be only slightly damp: this makes it softer and more pliable, so that the wax goes on evenly.
• Put a small amount of wax on the applicator and work it onto the paint one section at a time in small, overlapping circles with gentle pressure. Some waxes call for crossing strokes, so read the wax maker's instructions first. Use little wax: a thick layer clogs the microfibre cloth.
• Wait the time the wax maker gives, then polish with a soft microfibre cloth, using light pressure and circular movements, until the wax is fully buffed off and the surface reflects.
• Wax dissolves poorly in water, so wash the applicator with soap and warm water. Press the residue out with your fingers from the middle towards the edges and repeat until the sponge is clean, then wring it out and let it dry.
