Description
The Laser Tools transmission support arm attaches to a traditional vertical transmission jack and supports the gearbox from above with a shaped arm. A support strap and chains are supplied. It is a universal support that you can also use in tight engine bays and transmission tunnels.
It needs only one person and leaves your hands free. Because the gearbox hangs from above, you can move it through all three axes of movement.
The arm is designed to fit vertical transmission jacks with 25 mm and 30 mm shafts, for example S114-05004. To support the engine while you remove the gearbox, Laser Tools also recommends the engine support beam 500 kg (S183-4842). Laser Tools recommends using the arm with Laser Tools part no. 8655 vertical transmission jack, 5750 engine support and 4842 support beam.
