Description
The Laser Tools Differential Bush Removal & Installation Tool Kit is for removing and fitting the rear differential mounting bushes on BMW models. It handles both the front and the rear bushes on the rear differential, and the subframe stays in the car. All the BMW models listed are rear wheel drive.
The rear differential mounting bushes hold the differential in position and protect the occupants from noise and vibration. When the bushes wear, the differential can move and put more load on the parts connected to it: the differential internals, propshafts, driveshafts and suspension components, which can lead to their failure.
The kit is made of carbon steel with a chrome molybdenum force screw. Lubricate all force screws with molybdenum disulphide grease and use hand tools only.
