Description
The KB Global KBJ1053 is a steel thread repair kit for metric M6 threads with normal pitch, M6 x 1.0 mm. Use it to replace a stripped thread, for example in a cylinder head, a housing or an engine block.
The single-stage tap cuts the thread for a spiral insert made of hard stainless steel. You fit the insert with the guide handle, and the punch breaks off its protruding end. The inserts compress as you screw them in, which makes fitting easier, and then expand, which stops them unscrewing.
