IDEAL Surge protector 12 / 24 V

IDEAL CAR PROTECTION 12/24V is a surge protector that keeps a vehicle's electronics safe during welding, spot welding or plasma cutting. You clamp it to the battery terminals, with no need to disconnect the battery.

The protection is twofold: TRANSIL diodes remove short surges, and a PTC thermistor (posistor) removes longer-lasting ones. Two indicator LEDs show whether the system is protected or not protected, and the unit also gives an audible signal. The output leads have a large cross-section and the output clamps are insulated.
