Högert Step drill 4-39mm

The Högert step drill 4-39 mm is made for drilling holes in various types of steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, copper, brass, aluminium, stainless steel, plastic including hardened plastics, and wood. It has 13 steps, so one tool drills holes of several diameters. It is used in tinsmith and locksmith work, car workshops and by installers and electricians, and it is intended for professional use.

Thanks to the conical shape you do not need to pre-drill or mark the drilling point, and the drill deburrs the edge of the hole as it cuts. Markings on the drill let you check that the hole comes out at the right diameter. The drill has two straight cutting grooves and an untwisted, thicker core. It is made of hardened high-speed steel HSS 4241 and coated with titanium nitride, which according to the maker extends its service life 4 times. The triangular shank stops the drill from slipping in the chuck.
