Technicqll red silicone sealant

Technicqll HT Sealant is a one-component high-temperature silicone sealant that cures with moisture from the air into a flexible, rubber-like seal. It resists weather, chemicals and automotive fluids: oils, transmission fluids, water and petrol. The thixotropic paste does not flow off the surface. This one is red, in a 20 ml or 70 ml tube.

HT Sealant is for sealing engines, machines, heating and air-conditioning systems. It replaces cork, felt, rubber, paper, cardboard, klingerite and asbestos gaskets.

• Oil pans, cylinder heads, axles, drive axles and gearboxes
• Parts of electric and combustion engines
• Pumps and filters
• Boilers, furnaces and water heaters

Suitable materials

Smooth metal surfaces and alloys, glass, ceramics, plastics, wood, mineral materials, marble, stone and concrete.

Do not use

• For joints with Teflon, PP or PE
• On bituminous surfaces, natural rubber or chloroprene, or on materials that release oils, plasticisers or solvents
• On lime-based substrates, because acetic acid is released as it cures
• In fully enclosed spaces, because it needs moisture from the air to cure
• On sensitive metal surfaces such as copper and its alloys, or on mirror silvering

The cured sealant cannot be painted or lacquered.

• Minimum joint width: 4 mm

How to use

Clean dirt, grease and oil off the surfaces to be joined and let them dry. Apply the sealant, let it dry for about 5 minutes, then join the surfaces. Let the sealant cure fully. Smooth the joint within 15 minutes of applying it, with a spatula or cloth dipped in soapy water. Remove cured residue mechanically with a knife or spatula, or with extraction naphtha or a silicone remover.

Safety

Contains octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane. Hazardous to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Keep out of reach of children and avoid release to the environment. Dispose of contents and container at a suitable waste facility.
