How to choose car mats and a roof rack
Model-specific mats are made for one car model, so choose them by make, model and model years, and compare the body type in the product name, such as hatchback or estate. A model-specific mat covers the floor edge to edge and stays in place better than a universal one.
A rubber mat is heavy, durable and stays put. A TPE mat is lighter, has no rubber smell and has raised edges, so meltwater and sand stay inside the mat. A textile mat is quieter and cosier but dries slowly in winter, which is why many drivers switch to rubber or TPE for the cold months.
A roof rack is made of bars, feet and a fitting kit for your car model. First check which roof your car has: a plain roof, roof rails or fixed mounting points. Then choose the fitting kit for that roof and bars of the right length. The permitted roof load is in the car's owner's manual.
Frequently asked questions
Open Car mats and pick your make's category or filter by car make. Then choose the model and model years and check that the body type in the product name matches your car. If you cannot find your model, write to us with the model and year and we will tell you whether a matching mat exists.
Only covers made for it: they have a special seam over the airbag that lets it deploy. On Petex covers this is marked SAB in the name. Before you buy, check whether your car's seats have side airbags.
A compressor that plugs into the car's 12 V socket is enough for car tyres. On a digital model you can preset the pressure and it switches off by itself. For larger SUV tyres, choose a compressor with higher airflow. The correct pressure is on the driver's door pillar or the fuel filler flap.
