# How to choose the right mats for your car

An Estonian winter brings snow, salt and grit into the car. A good mat keeps all of it on the mat and away from the carpet and the floor.

## Choose by car, not by size

A universal mat leaves the edges open and slides under the pedals. A mat made for your model is cut to the floor of your car, so it covers the whole area and stays in place.

* Find your make and model
* Check the body type and model years
* See whether the set includes the rear mats

## Rubber or textile

A rubber mat stands up to water and salt and is quick to clean. A raised rim keeps melt water on the mat. A textile mat is quieter and warmer but needs more care in the wet season.

## Do not forget the boot

A boot mat protects the floor from loads, shopping bags and wet gear.
